Much of this is covered in articles in other tech sections, so this discussion will often be referencing these other articles to avoid duplication, while tying it all together for a logical approach to troubleshooting, and hopefully not to miss anything.Īt 08:06 AM 10/31/05 -0700, Steve Demko wrote: This discussion involves various systems around the car. The best approach to troubleshooting would be to first determine which system is giving a problem, and then go after the simpler problem or problems individually. While each of these systems in turn is fairly simple, certain interactions between them may be more involved. Compression and correct spark timing come from the mechanical parts of the engine. Fuel and air comes from the fuel system and carburetors. But you also need compression and the correct spark timing. It is often said that for an engine to run you need fuel, air, and spark. The car starts easy, runs& drives very nicely andthe new clutch is smooth. The caris very solid and is a good driver quality, but he said it is sold as is.He has set a very resizable reserve to sale! Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs. I'm listing this little Triumph for a friend and will take all questions to him. This car has much work done and undoubtedly there is more to be done. In his 70’s now he says “time to let it go”. Having a past farming history he always enjoyed working and tinkering and was a member of several British car clubs. He primarily was concerned with maintenance and drivability. He has owned and enjoyed this car for ten years.

Side windows need attention and mounting plates put back on. Weather gear has shrunk and should be replaced. Older upholstery in fair condition and a bit shabby in places but is serviceable. Temperature gauge works but is a different brand. An electrician should be able to solve it and I will include helpful info as to what happened.
